ABOUT US

Having studied together through school, college and university, we found we shared a common passion, creating theatre for young people. Reflection Theatre began in 2015, with our first production 'The Next Placement', which focused on a young boy in the foster care system. The play received recognition from the industry, winning the 'Best of The Fest' award at the International Youth Arts Festival in 2017. Our second production ' Dee, Myself and I' achieved a five star review at Brighton Fringe festival in 2018, and was based on Mental Health and depression in young adults. Over the years we have run workshops in nurseries and primary schools, teaching drama and theatre workshops, as well as running sessions for English Language and World Poetry day.

In 2021, we decided that we wanted to run our workshops through the holidays for children to learn all about the process of putting on a theatre show, and that's when Reflection Theatre Kids was born!

We wanted to make our clubs different and really immerse the children into the world of theatre and production.

During our clubs are kids are involved in every aspect of making theatre. Throughout the week they design  their own costumes, make and create all the art work for the scenery and perform original, songs and dances for our big show day at the end of the week!

Meet The Team!

Hi, I'm Steph!

I've been working in the Performing Arts Industry for over 12 years as an Director, Writer and Actress and through training have achieved a BA in Acting for Stage and Screen, Higher National Diploma in Drama and a PGCE in Drama teaching. Over the years I have directed over 10 theatre productions including Reflection Theatre's 'Next Placement and Dee, Myself and I'. In 2017 I began teaching drama in nurseries and primary schools, and it was here when my passion for sharing the world of theatre with young children started. In 2019 I began working at St Joseph's Primary School in Epsom where my passion for teaching was also ignited and I completed my teacher training at St Andrews Secondary school and Kingston College in 2022. I am currently working as the Drama Lead Tutor at BCA college in Walthamstow. I love the work we're doing with Reflection Theatre Kids, and I'm so proud of every show that we have produced and I'm so excited to continue to creating theatre magic with our amazingly talented Kids.

The impact of introducing children to the world of drama and music extends beyond just skills; it helps foster creativity, confidence, and a love for the arts! Which I’ve always had!! As an actor, writer, and musician, I’ve had an incredible journey from achieving a BA in Acting for Stage and Screen to creating award-winning productions like "The Next Placement" (2017) and "Dee Myself & I" (2018) showcased dedication to authentic storytelling. Beyond the stage, I have had the privilege to perform and grace iconic venues like Wembley, St Paul’s Cathedral, Camden’s Koko, and the Royal Albert Hall. Reflection Theatre Kids is instrumental in inspiring and nurturing a love for the performing arts among all the kids! I have a passion and enthusiasm to create a positive and enriching environment for young performers.

Hi, I'm Rosie

Since childhood I have been passionate about the performing arts industry and all the creative roles involved. In 2017 I co - wrote, directed and produced my first production, 'Dee, Myself and I' alongside Steph with Reflection Theatre where the show received a 5 star review at Brighton Festival. Since 2015 I have been working with children in nurseries, schools and privately in family homes. A keen interest in brain development has led me to explore roles working with children who have special educational needs. I have loved working with Reflection Theatre Kids and have been amazed at the talent and creativity our Reflection Kids have!
